Studio Policies

GENERAL INFORMATION AND STUDIO POLICIES

DRESS CODE: Strictly enforced. (Adult Classes exempt)

ATTENDANCE: Attendance is extremely important.  We expect students to be in class unless there is an illness or an emergency.  In placement classes attendance is MANDATORY.  Excessive absences will not be tolerated in any class.

CLASS OBSERVATION:  Parents may observe the first class in September. October and November observations are on the last lesson of the month. December observation is for the Pre-school class only.  Seating is in the rear of the dance studio.  Please refrain from talking and keep siblings quiet.

SCHOOL CANCELLATIONS:
Class cancellations due to any inclement weather, will be posted on our Facebook page and website.

DANCE RECITALS: A dance performance will be presented in May. Two costume deposits will be required (Nov & Jan). A notice with more specific information will be sent home with the students in October. Students are not required to participate in the performances.  However, parents must notify instructors if you do not want your child to perform. Classes for non-participating students will conclude in January. Please check the bulletin board (located on the first floor in the waiting area) every month for updated information concerning the recital.

INSURANCE WAIVER:  Insurance companies require that all students participating in dance class must have a signed insurance waiver.  Please fill out the waiver that is included in the registration form, and mail it as soon as possible. If your child has a severe learning disability or any physical or emotional problems, please consult with us before the first lesson. It is important that the instructors are aware of any difficulties so they will be prepared to give your child the extra understanding and assistance he/she will need to advance in the structured environment of a dance class.

Please do not let your child bring dolls, toys, food or drinks to class. GUM CHEWING IS NEVER PERMITTED IN CLASS and smoking is prohibited in the studio.

We would appreciate your cooperation in delivering and picking up students on time. If you cannot be there on time, please let us know.  Young children become anxious when Mom is late. If your child’s class in is STUDIO 2 (located on second floor), please go upstairs to collect your child after class.

If you have any questions or problems during the season, please don’t hesitate to call 508-866-2505.
